Every pack is weighed on a calibrated scale, not scooped, then sealed cold and stamped with the packing date. A kilo is a kilo.

Coconut and nothing else — no preservative, no sugar, no colour, no anti-caking agent. Prepared in a cleaned, food-grade kitchen.
Rejected if it is not right
Anything off-colour, dry or past its morning does not go on the van. Check the seal and date before you pay — hand it back and pay nothing.

Three steps, one morning

Nuts in from the district
Mature nuts arrive from smallholder groves around Kurunegala, husked the day they are picked.

Split and grated fresh
Split, the water drained, the white scraped on the same morning your order is packed. Nothing dried, nothing bleached.

Weighed, sealed, date-stamped
Each pack is weighed to size, sealed cold and stamped with the packing date before it goes on the van.

KussiAmma.lk is a small operation: a handful of people, one product done properly, and a van that goes out every day. We would rather sell out by lunchtime than grate on Monday for Friday.

When it arrives
Every day, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pick a morning or afternoon window and we call before we set out.
What you pay
Packs plus Rs 300 delivery. Free above Rs 3,000. Cash at the door or bank transfer.
If something is wrong
Check the seal and the packing date before you pay. Anything wrong, hand it back and pay nothing.

Can I pay online by card?
Not yet — card payment is being set up now and goes live shortly. For the moment, pay the delivery man in cash or transfer to our bank account after you order.
How long does grated coconut keep?
Three days in the fridge, sealed. Freeze the pack unopened on the day it arrives and it keeps for a month.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Yes. We call before every run — change the quantity, the day or the address on that call, or cancel outright at no cost.
Where do you deliver?
Colombo and suburbs every day. The rest of the island goes by courier and takes one day longer.
